About the location

The school is located in Sosua, a small, relaxed beach town on the north coast. It consists of around 12,000 inhabitants, and is known for its great beaches and scuba diving, while the town of Cabarete, about 15 minutes away, is known for its kite and windsurfing.

The school has taught Spanish as a foreign language since 1994 and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to ensure you enjoy your time there.

The school building, sheltered by impressive old trees and lush vegetation, offers the ideal ambiance for concentrated learning in a tropical surrounding. Despite its central location, the ambiance around the school is so tranquil that classes often take place outside on one of the four shadowed and airy terraces.

The garden, its terraces, and an open-door communal kitchen create a personal and friendly environment, ideal for relaxation and exchange of experience. They serve as meeting places for the students.

The classrooms are equipped in a simple, Caribbean style. Cosy sun-chairs in the garden, table-tennis, games, and a small collection of light reading are to be used by all students. The school’s WiFi can be used for free.

Although a smaller, more intimate town, Sosua has enough cafes, bars, discos, and restaurants to ensure that your nights are as action-packed as your days. Sosua is the ideal place for both studying Spanish, enjoying beach activities, dancing, discovering the surrounding beautiful nature or immersing yourself into a slower pace of life.
