Relax and revitalise at one of Europe's leading Yoga and Pilates Retreats in the Canary Islands, Spain on this 7 night / 8 day wellbeing holiday. Stretch and strengthen your body and mind and bring yourself back into balance with a unique blend of yoga, Pilates and meditation.

Enjoy mouth-watering vegetarian meals, holistic massage and stunning sunsets over the volcanoes.

The retreat has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, beautifully decorated rooms and lots of comfy chill-out areas. You can relax with a book in the garden, have a dip in the pool, chat with your fellow guests in the bright open lounge or Spanish courtyard or sit and enjoy the view to the sea from the terrace.

With accommodation options to suit every wish and budget, you are sure to find the right room for you. You have the choice to share a room with your travel partner or, if you are a solo traveller, you can opt for a private room or even choose to share with another solo traveller. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and come with ensuite or shared bathrooms.

The diverse and full weekly schedule of yoga, Pilates and meditation (over 21 classroom hours) is delivered at a pace that allows you to do it all and still have ample time for additional therapies and exploration, or be more selective and just relax– it’s your holiday, you decide.

Lead by Kundalini teacher Frauke Behrens, the inspired team will share their knowledge and passions with you so you can feel supported and encouraged, whatever your level. A bright, open wooden floored yoga shala is an inviting space in which to deepen your practice and offers a true immersion into mindful movement. Pure bliss.

After the morning session you will sit down to a delicious homemade brunch including fresh fruit salad, homemade marmalades, homemade bread, homemade yogurt, homemade muesli and homemade granola, a hot dish of the day (eggs, pancakes, porridge) and a choice of drinks including water, coffee, tea and herbal tea.

Five delicious and healthy evening meals are also included within the cost of the course. The evening meals are bursting with flavour and completely in line with the retreat philosophy of providing vibrant, holistic food that guests are inspired to make back home. The cooking is vegetarian, and predominantly vegan and gluten-free.

Healing therapies and blissful massages provide a wonderful complement to a daily practice, at Villa Surya there are dedicated private and peaceful massage rooms to this important rejuvenating indulgence.

Included in your stay is a one hour full body massage – the perfect way to wind down and relax into your holiday. Enjoy an amazing inclusive massage with the talented and highly trained therapists in the on-site treatment rooms. Enjoy your inclusive treatment, then float back to your room or to the pool to relax.

In between classes, therapies and food you can simply relax around the swimming pool, hot tub or beach, go surfing or explore the island. One return transfer to the beach/Corralejo is included in the price and you can also join excursions to other parts of the island, rent bikes or take a surf course.

Who is it suitable for?
- Suitable for all from complete beginners to those with many years practice of yoga and Pilates
- Minimum age 16 (16 and 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over)

I'm a solo traveller - can I join?
- This retreat is perfect if you are a solo traveller as you can choose to have your own private room for an extra supplement or be placed with another solo traveller of the same sex
- Prices are based on 2 people sharing a bedroom with a shared bathroom but for an extra supplement you can upgrade your room for private use or with an ensuite bathroom; email hello@golearnto.com to see what is available for your chosen dates

When can I start?
- Courses run on Saturdays throughout the year; you will arrive on Saturday and depart the following Saturday
- The retreat also runs special retreats throughout the year and during Christmas and New Year
- Accommodation is for 7 nights / 8 days
- Classes start on day 2 so you can arrive anytime on day 1

Please note that the itinerary is for guidance only and may change week to week

- Each morning you will have either a yoga or Pilates class starting at 8am or 9am
- Every day between 1pm and 3pm practice space is available for those wishing to enjoy their own self practice or meditations
- Early evening (around 5pm) there will be a class of either Pilates or yoga
- Between your morning and evening sessions you have the rest of the day free to relax, eat the delicious brunch provided at the villa, explore the local area or book a massage
- Massage treatments or additional 1:1 sessions and excursions are also available at an additional charge and these can be booked on arrival
- Dinner is served at 7pm five times a week (days to be confirmed upon arrival)

What will I learn?
- Yoga and Pilates practice will be adapted for all levels from complete beginners to advanced
- Teachers will demonstrate modifications and advancements to exercises/poses and classes will be split into ability levels where necessary
- Your yoga classes will be based on different yoga styles of Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini, Power and Yoga Nidra
- Yoga practice will cover Asanas (physical movements), Pranayama (breathing practices), Meditation (stilling and calming of the mind & inner self) and Relaxation
- Pilates will be mat based and with small equipment which will be provided
- Meditation will include yoga nidra, guided meditation, kundalini yoga
- The small groups allow you to explore alignment within your pose as well as fluid movement from one pose to the next working with our teachers to deepen your practice whatever your level
- The teacher will give you one-to-one attention giving you the confidence to develop a home practice

What to bring
- Please bring comfortable clothing you can move in easily for your yoga practice
- It can be hot in the summer months so please bring clothing that will be suitable for practicing in hot weather
- It can be cool in the evening in the winter months so please bring a long-sleeved top or light jacket
- The retreat supplies yoga mats; Magic Circles, straps and blocks where necessary, as well as any additional equipment needed for the specific session

Treatments / massages
- Includes a one-hour full body massage
- Massages and treatments are available and if you wish to book other treatments, your host Frauke can help you arrange this with the therapist during the week
- Jo, the in-house nutritionist runs nutrition workshops each week, giving general and specific nutrition advice, discussing your diet and suggesting recipes and cooking methods, please note: these workshops cost extra and can be arranged and paid for upon arrival

Are meals included?
- Daily healthy brunch & lunch comprising of fruits, home-baked bread, cereals and muesli, eggs, salad, teas and juice
- Five evening meals are served during the week, meals are designed and prepared by the in-house nutritionist, Jo
- Jo believes that 'Through appropriate nutrition you can add years to your life and life to your years. Providing the body with the right nutrients, we can gain health, energy, vitality and live longer and healthier lives. Nutrition is fundamental for physical and mental health'
- Jo uses only the finest, freshest ingredients to cook delicious, healthy and balanced meals
- Meals are vegetarian
- If you are vegetarian, vegan or have dietary requests these must be communicated to us at the time of booking
- Award-winning restaurants, an outstanding bakery and a supermarket are just 15 minute walk away and the town of Corralejo is 10 minute drive away

Optional 3-day surfing
- Please note that surf classes are held according to the tides and best conditions for learning
- This does mean that you may miss a class on your scheduled surfing days - this is so that you will get the best conditions for your surf course
- You will always have one class per day which has 4 hours of surf/beach time
