About the school

The typical white pueblo of Torrox is situated in the heart of Andalucia between Malaga and Nerja. Its beautiful mountain location provides you with narrow winding streets, hidden squares and rich Spanish culture to explore and be inspired by.

The excellent location of Torrox offers breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea and its surrounding countryside is an ideal place to take a walk and relax after your day of painting. However, if you prefer beach life to the countryside, the excellent beaches of the Costa del Sol are within a 10 minute drive from the village.

You will stay in a charming Moorish house which has been tastefully restored to a high specification whilst retaining its original rustic charm. The house is fully equipped with all modern conveniences and has an outdoor terrace with stunning views over the village to ensure your stay is comfortable, homely, and idyllic.

Your hosts are passionate about art, painting and photgraphy and you will enjoy your painting lessons in the outdoor studio space or photography lessons on location in beautiful surroundings under the guidance of the resident professional artist or photographer. During your course you may have the option to take part in day trips offered by your hosts to many more inspiring locations where you can choose to paint or simply relax and take in the Spanish lifestyle.
